Angenieux at Camerimage.

Following IBC in Amsterdam and Broadcast India in Mumbaï, Angenieux will be very pleased to present its latest zoom lenses to the international cinematographers’ community at Camerimage festival that will held soon in Bydgoszcz-Poland (November 11-18).

 

Two full format zoom lens solutions with Angénieux IRO® – Interchangeable Rear Optics – technology will be presented:

 

  • The new long-range zoom for high-end productions, the Optimo Ultra 12x. Recently unveiled at IBC, the successor model to the industry reference OPTIMO 24-290 features a totally new optical & mechanical design, offering even better optical performance, improved mechanical stability and serviceability while keeping the same aesthetic characteristics as the Optimo 24-290. Thanks to its modular concept the lens can be configured in three different versions : S35 (24-290 mm Ø31.1mm), U35(26-320 mm Ø34.6mm) and FF/VV (36-435mm Ø46.3mm). Deliveries starting early 2018.

 

  • The Angénieux Type EZ series for independent videographers and owner operators. Ideal for run and gun shooting, the Type EZ series feature two very fast & light weight zooms. Integrating an innovative modular design, both EZ-1 30-90 and EZ-2 15-40 can switch from their S35 (Ø 30mm) configuration at T2 to the Full Frame (Ø 46mm) EZ-1 45-135 and EZ-2 22-60 at T3. EZ-1 is now available and the deliveries of the EZ-2 will start end 2017.

Cinematographers will also be able to discover the latest Optimo Style 48-130 T3 (Ø34,6mm), the third and longest lightweight compact zoom lens joining the wide Optimo Style 16-40 T2.8 and standard 30-76 T2.8. Weighing only 4.3lb/1.95kg and offering a close focus at 3’1”/0.94m, the 48-130 is an ideal lens for close-ups, portraits, tight shots either handheld or on Steadicam, remote heads, gimbals, rigs & drones.

This year, Angénieux will be pleased to welcome and support the 3rd year students (image Department) of French Cinema School La Fémis for their first attendance at the festival.
