On Tuesday, January 24, the Academy of Oscar – Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences unveiled the nominations for the 89th ceremony, which will take place on February 26th at Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center, Los Angeles
On Wednesday, January 25, the Academy of Cesar – Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma unveiled all the nominations for the 42nd ceremony, which will take place on February 24th at Pleyel Theatre in Paris.
Angénieux lenses are particularly well represented.
In the list of nominated movies for Best Picture or Best Cinematography, five movies have been shot in Angénieux:

Among the five cinematographers in the race for Best Cinematography, Caroline Champetier (Les innocentes), Stéphane Fontaine (Elle), Guillaume Deffontaines (Ma Loute), Christophe Beaucarne (Mal de Pierres) had Angénieux zoom lenses in their equipment list. Angénieux Optimo Anamorphic A2S lenses were on set of both movies Ma Loute and Mal de Pierres.
Would it mean that shooting in Angénieux anamorphic zoom lenses is a good way to gain access to recognition ?
