71st CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2018 « Pierre Angénieux ExcelLens in Cinematography »
On May 18th, at the very heart of the 71ST CANNES FILM FESTIVAL, Edward Lachman, in presence of American director and friend Todd Haynes, with whom he collaborated on four movies: Far from Heaven, I’m not There, Carol and Wonderstruck, received the 2018 Pierre Angénieux ExcelLens in Cinematography.

Angénieux lenses are utilized all around the world by the most demanding image professionals for the production of features, commercials, dramas, documentaries, music videos, sports or cultural event recordings in live 3D or 4K and beyond. Every year at Cannes Film Festival, in the list of selected movies, a lot of them are shot with Angénieux lenses.
Angénieux Official Partner of Cannes Film Festival 2016
In 2013, for the first time in its history, Angénieux became an Official Partner of the International Cannes Film Festival. For this occasion, Angénieux created the « Pierre Angénieux ExcelLens in Cinematography », a ceremony to spotlight the work of Directors of Photography. Following Philippe Rousselot (A.F.C., A.S.C.) in 2013, Vilmos Zsigmond (H.S.C., A.S.C.) in 2014, and Roger Deakins (B.S.C., A.S.C.), Angenieux wished to recognize the outstanding work of Peter Suschitsky (A.S.C.) in 2016.
